SILVERSEA has announced refurbishment plans for the SILVER WIND and SILVER WHISPER to undergo a large program this coming December.

While SILVERSEA introduced some time ago its new vessel, SILVER MUSE, and signed with FINCANTIERI a further newbuilding contract for its 10th cruise vessel, the older fleet is under "pressure" to be state of the art. Further a great number of new luxurious cruise vessels is under construction, which is enlarging the "pressure" to be up to date.

"The project is part of the elegant fleet-wide refurbishment program launched at the end of 2016 that will continue with new announcements to come soon," SILVERSEA said.

SILVER WHISPER's refurbishment will also incorporate a significant redesign of public areas. Many of the public areas will take inspiration from SILVER MUSE´s décor, which will be reflected in carpet replacements and upgrades for La Terrazza, as well as the Observation and Panorama lounges.

"SILVER WIND will also be upgraded in a similar format, taking inspiration from SILVER MUSE as well. Public areas will also receive stylish enhancements," SILVERSEA said.

"SILVER MUSE has been a sophisticated inspirational milestone for our brand. We are confident that the comprehensive makeover we have planned for Silver Wind and Silver Whisper will enhance the onboard experience and be equally appreciated by our guests," said Roberto Martinoli, SILVERSEA´s CEO.

The sister vessel SILVER CLOUD has been transformed into an expedition cruise vessel, joining the grewing expedition fleet of SILVERSEA

SILVERSEA has to move to be and stay compatible with the new vessels, and those companies emerging new in the luxury market.
