Wie konnte das Zwischendeck mit seinen geringen Passagekosten die I. Klasse finanzieren? by Earl of Cruise Die Mär, dass die Schiffe bis zum 1.Weltkrieg nur durch Auswanderer finanziert werden konnten. Die genannten Beträge sind Inflationsbereinigt! An Bord von WHITE STAR LINEs neuer TITANIC kostete 1912 das "one-way" Ticket, welches der Held Jack für die Überfahrt in dem Film ` TITANIC´ im Spiel gewonnen hatte, £ 9.   Das sind heute US$ 1,063. Solch einen Betrag mussten sich diejenigen, welche auswandern wollten, lange vom Mund absparen. Ein einfaches I Klasse Ticket, wobei man in einer Kabine ohne eigenes Bad lag und mit einem fremden Mitreisenden, den man erst am Abreisetag kennenlernte, kostete "lockere" £ 30. Interview mit Kai Bunge und Siegfired Schindler, Partner bei PartnerShip Design - Schiffsdesigner und ihre Arbeit. by Earl of Cruise © HAPAG LLOYD KREUZFHARTEN Anlässlich der Renovierung der EUROPA von HAPAG LLOYD KREUZFHARTEN, 2007, war es mir möglich bei den Partnern von PARTNERSHIP DESIGN (PSD) ein Interview zu bekommen. Für die EUROPA hatten Herr Schindler und Herr Bunge, mit ihrem Team die neuen SPA Suiten gezeichnet. Während Herr Schindler sich im wesentlichen um das Design, also die Gestaltung kümmert, ist Herr Bunge für die konstruktive Seite zuständig. Sie arbeiten Hand in Hand bei ihren Projekten, was man auch an ihrem Büro leicht erkennen kann - ihre Schreibtische stehen in einem Büro. Die Diztanz ist ausreichend für konzentrierte arbeiten des Einzelnen, aber so nah wiederum, dass man sich leicht miteinander unterhalten kann. For liners and the shipping companies movies and films had been a top marketing tool Movies or Films and liners at sea, had been intriguing me since I have read about in my youth in LUXUSLINER - BILDER EINER GROSSEN ZEIT by Lee Server ( THE GOLDEN AGE OF OCEAN LINERS ). But earlier, mot only since my first crossing, I was keen watching movies with liners in it, and disapointed, which was an understatement, when I realized the films have been made in a set ashore in some movie "factory". Over years, in my early youth, the QUEEN ELIZABETH was shaping my mind for the perfect ocean liner, despite having made my first experiences with a liner onboard the HANSEATIC (1), ex EMPRESS OF SCOTLAND, ex EMPRESS OF JAPAN. When leaning at the rail of HANSEATIC entering the port, my eyes where every where and I wished to by a camera, I took all in. And when seeing the QUEEN ELIZABETH with my own eyes, the nice behaving young boy turned into a tomboy, that my grandmére was no longer able to tame ... I did draw quite a lot of looks, back then. When money saving is needed the last will be food in France! CDF reported an average of 100,000 cruisers on board their ships HORIZON and ZENITH. CDF was in 3rd place in the French cruise market after COSTA (CARNIVAL subsidiary) and MSC (Italian, based in Switzerland). Both are surprisingly are everything but not French. The keel of this ship was laid in June 1927. Her launch took place in August, 1928.
