Tiefe Regenwolken hängen über Marseille. Die strahlende weiße Stadt, das Tor Frankreichs in den Süden, zeigt sich grau ...
Selten habe ich auf einem Schiff so gut gegessen, wie bei dieser Reise auf der BLEU DE FRANCE. M. Françis Lévèque und seine Brigarde in der Küche der BLEU DE FRANCE leisten eine hervorragende und grandios schmeckende Arbeit.
Seit der FRANCE der Cie.Gén. TRANSATLANTIQUE habe ich solch eine Küche an Bord eines Schiffes vermnisst. 
M. Lévèque hat wiederholt Lorbeeren eingeheimst, so durch den Gault&Millau© und den GUIDE MICHELIN©. Und, wie aus der Website der CROISÈRES DE FRANCE zu ersehen ist (CDF CROISIÈRE DE FRANCE), kocht er immer noch für CDF.

Okay ich bin Frankophil, oder auch Gallophil, was vielleicht an den Wurzeln meiner Familie in Frankreich liegen mag.
Es bedurfte des Einstiegs der RCI, ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE LINES, über ihre 100% Tochter GRUPO  pullmantour aus Spanien, in den französischen Markt, dass die Franzosen ihre Liebe zur See endlich entdeckt haben. Aber wie ködert man Franzosen? Neben anderen Frankreich spezifischen Dingen, wie Sprache, Kultur Angebote, etc. vor allem aber mit einer exzellenten Küche. Der Franzose spart bekanntlich zuletzt an seinen Speisen. Das kann Revolten oder Revolutionen auslösen ... also wenn nicht ... König Henry IV. versprach jedem Franzosen ein tägliches Huhn im Topf.





Wer also auch Frankreich und seine Menschen mag, sollte unbedingt mit CROISÈRE DE FRANCE eine Kreuzfahrt buchen. Sei segeln dann mit der HORIZON oder der ZENITH durch das Mittelmeer, die Karibik (besonders die französische) und im Norden Europas. Beide Schiffe sind Papenburger Konstruktionen und waren zuvor wie die BLUE DE FRANCE im 5star Segment unterwegs.

Wer "nur" nach Paris fahren will, sollte unbedingt im RESTAURANT DU MARCHÉ speisen!

The PACIFIC MAIL STEAMSHIP COMANY was existing for "just" one hundred years and was in her heydays a backbone for the development of the US West. The PACIFIC MAIL STEAMSHIP COMPANY was founded April 18, 1848, as a joint stock company under the laws of the State of New York by a group of New York City merchants, William H. Aspinwall , Edwin Bartlett, Henry Chauncey, Mr. Alsop, G.G. Howland and S.S. Howland.
